According to text, there is no good or bad memory, it is all about strategy. However, people usually find pretexts which fortify these types of ideas. For instance, before I read the book, I would always thought that I born with defective memory. And still a lot of people who are unaware of the fact that there is no innate tremendous memory, continues to create excuses. Therefore, I highly recommend this book to get rid of negative thoughts about memory. First of all, the author points out that good memory can become alive thanks to proper strategies, but initially people have to escape from negative thoughts in order to seek proper strategies for themselves. That is because negative thoughts always disrupt taking action. For example, people who think that his memory is not good, never get into action to progress his memory. In that case, people who crave to hone his memory have to dispose of negative thoughts in particular about themselves. Secondly, the author mention about concentration problem. In the era of technology, people lost the ability of being silent. They are all exposed to noise especially in car, at home or work etc. And these circumstances, without doubt, undermine the focusing process. If people do not focus on their work or study they can not learn or remember. For this respect, multitasking, too, is enemy of good memory, therefore you should direct your attention to one task. Thirdly, even though we are capable of visualize countless creative things like images which are consisted in our mind we do not use that during the reading process. We just focus on letters, whereas these are only symbols, that's why we can utilize from pictures that are brought to life in our imagination. Remember, letters are only symbols that is easily forgettable. According to the neuroscientist, when people hear a piece of information they can remember only ten percent three days later, but when they add a picture it they can remember sixty-five percent of information. As a result, imagination and creativity play a vital role in improving memory.
