5/5 Stars (%95/100) "I won't run away anymore... I won't go back on my word... that is my ninja way!" First of all, I will not be reviewing every volume of Naruto but instead this one will cover everything. I have read every volume of the manga several times and watched the anime. My review might be a bit biased as Naruto holds a special place in my heart. "To become Hokage is my dream!" The first time I watched Naruto was many many years ago. I loved it as a child and I even cried for that episode. (The one with Haku and Zabuza) After that I started watching the anime and I pretty much grew up with Naruto. We were like friends and we overcome obstacles together in our lives. This is why Naruto is very special for me. I think Kishimoto's aim was to educate children to never give up and chase their dreams no matter what. That's exactly what Naruto does and so did I. "A genius, huh? What does that mean? 'Genius'? So I was not born with a whole lot of natural talent, not gifted like Neji ... but I work hard and I never give up! That is my gift; that is my ninja way!" Naruto as the name suggests is about a boy named Uzumaki Naruto and his adventures. Naruto is probably the ancestor of Shounen genre. (Shounen literally means young boy in Japanese. This type of anime/manga is about a young boy/girl and his/her journey towards adulthood. There will be many problems and obstacles on the way. It is kind of similiar to Bildungsroman.) "Those in the ninja world who break the rules and regulations are called filth, but those who don't care about their companions... are even lower than filth." I admit there were some parts and episodes that I got bored while watching/reading Naruto. However, my feelings for this great work of art never changed, not in the slightest. The manga ended before the anime and like many Japanese people, I was utterly devastated. The thing I grew up and followed for many years just ended. (Thankfully we now have Boruto) Even today, I still go back and watch some of my favourite episodes, check some chapters from the manga. Naruto is a long journey but if you reach the end, you will feel complete and genuinely happy. "People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define "reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? Merely vague concepts ... their "reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?"
