"It means," says Dumbledore, "that the chamber of secrets is open again.
"Madam Pomfrey and Professor McGonagall both cover their mouths with their hands in surprise.
"But who did this, Albus?" Asks McGonagall.
"The question is not who," answer Dumbledore. "The question is how?"
