Today it’s Hıdırellez; one of the seasonal festivals in Central Asia, Middle East, Anatolia and the Balkans. Hıdırellez Day, which is known as Ruz-ı Hızır (Day of Hızır), is celebrated as the day on which the Prophets Hızır and İlyas met each other on the earth. The words Hızır and İlyas have since then fused together and is pronounced as Hıdırellez. Hıdırellez Day falls on May 6th according to the Gregorian Calendar...
