4/5 Stars (%79/100) Before starting my review, I finished the anime (Netflix series) yesterday and decided to read the manga for: 1)Everyone on the internet said the manga is much better and that the series is disappointing 2)I actually enjoyed the show and wanted to see what happens next I would say this is a pretty good introduction to the series. The story is very straightforward: Gods decide the fate of humans every 1000 years and this time they decide to end their existence. One Valkyrie, Brunnhildr, proposes Ragnarok, a battle royale kind of tournament, and the gods accept. In Ragnarok, 13 gods and 13 humans will fight each other to death. The story is simple but the series does not want more than that. The important thing is the unique characters, character design (especially gods), and pure action. Overall, I really liked it and it is detailed than the show. It reminds me of Fate series and The God of Highschool. The first fight is between Thor and Lu Bu (Ryofu Housen) a very famous Chinese warrior. Both of these men remind me of Saitama, Kenpachi and many other OP characters from anime. I can't wait to read the next volume.
