*It Ends with Us* by Colleen Hoover is a deeply moving novel that masterfully explores the complexities of love and domestic violence through the eyes of its relatable protagonist, Lily Bloom. Hoover’s storytelling is powerful, with well-developed characters and a narrative that keeps you emotionally engaged from start to finish. However, while the book’s emotional depth is commendable, I found the explicit sex scenes to be a bit distracting from the core story. Also, to be honest, I do not like to read explicit sex in books. Despite this personal preference, the novel’s compelling themes and impactful message make it a worthwhile read for anyone interested in a story that is both heart-wrenching and inspiring.
