The first book I read by Charlotte Bronte. In fact, the author only has four works written in his short life. I also bought his work titled "Villette" and I will read it when the time comes. But unfortunately, I cannot find the Turkish editions of his other two works, "Professor" and "Shirley", on book sites right now. If they are published, I would definitely like to read them. Jane Eyre is considered the author's most famous work. Although the book has the characteristics of a novel, it is written in a writing technique that is closer to a diary or memoir that appeals directly to the reader. As for the subject, it is a story in his own words about what happened to a little boy who was left alone after the death of his mother and father, until he grew up and became an adult, as a result of his uncle's protection, but unfortunately, after his uncle's death, the family did not accept him. Of course, his early adulthood is also included in this narrative. The book also provides extensive information about the social and environmental structure of the period and place in which it was written. While reading about Jane's misfortune that has continued since the moment she was born, we witness that the author emphasizes to us how positive or negative coincidences have an impact on human life. The fact that Jane Eyre has a solid and strong character who acts cautiously and logically, and does not compromise on the same attitude in the face of all positive or negative events, should, in my opinion, be considered as a longing for the image of a strong woman that did not exist at that time. I think that the author created this situation knowingly and deliberately. I do not see the need to write much more about this important classic of World Literature History. In short, I say it is one of the must-read books.

Ellis Bell’in “Uğultulu Tepeler” adlı romanı tutkulu bir aşk ve intikam romanıdır. Acton Bell’in “Agnes Grey” adlı romanı aile kurumunun ikiyüzlülüğünü gözler önüne serer. Currer Bell’in “Jane Eyre” adlı romanıysa, bağımsız bir kadının cesaretini göklere çıkarır.Bu yazarların aslında kadın olduklarını hiç kimse bilmez. Bell erkek kardeşler, aslında Bronte kız kardeşlerdir. Emily, Anne, Charlotte adındaki bu kırılgan bakireler yalnızlıklarını, Yorkshire bozkırlarındaki yitik bir köyde şiirler ve romanlar yazarak hafifletmektedirler. Edebiyatın erkek egemen hükümdarlığına izinsiz giren bu kız kardeşler, eleştirmenler cüretlerini affetsinler diye erkek maskesi takmışlardı, ancak eleştirmenler onların kaba, ham, terbiyesiz, vahşi, hayvani, ahlaksız eserlerini yerden yere vurdular..." Metin Bey hem güzel dilekleriniz için hem de Bronte kardeşlerle ilgili bu değerli katkınız için çok teşekkür ederim. Uğultulu tepeleri okudum muhteşemdi. Ama bu kardeşlerin yazdığı diğer kitapların maalesef Türkçe baskısı şu anda Türkiyede yok.'' Agnes Grey '' in de yok. Hatta ''Shirley'' in ingilizce baskısını aldım acaba okuyabilir miyim diye ama kendime güvenemiyorum çünkü beni çok zorlayacak biliyorum. Onun için elimde olmasına rağmen şimdilik okumayı düşünmüyorum. İncelememde bahsettiğim gibi ''vilette'yi okuyacağım. Keşke, böyle muhteşem kitaplar yazabilen bu kardeşler daha uzun süre yaşayabilselerdi de bize okuyacağımız daha fazla muhteşem eserler bırakabilselerdi. Selamlar.

Bir evrimi anlatır aslında... Kadının nasıl güçlü bir bireye dönüştüğünü vurgular. Jane Eyre benim hayatımın karakteridir. Anlatabileceğim çok şey var onunla ilgili ama şimdi olmaz. Elinize sağlık...
