(I read the book in English, hence the review)
I wrote a whole paragraph of a summary of the book, then deleted them. You don’t need to know what the book is about, because you do learn and understand it as you read. However, I find it important to point out how brilliant the characters were. I don't think I will ever forget about Kelsier, or his twisted but goodhearted plans. That man turned himself into a legend knowingly, both in the book and in my eyes. He knew he had to do something so drastic for the people to riot, he knew they needed someone holy to follow and find the courage through. And the ending of him was just so... human. After all the 'magic' he did, it just ended so mortally. I don't think I will ever give up hope on to see him again in the book. Let a girl dream.
Vin is probably one of the most beautifully written girl. She's young, stubborn and in love but not once I felt like she was doing too much or too less. She is quick, instinctive and blunt, yet these are the attributions that make you love her. You can see that she's a child who had to grow up so quickly because of the life she lived.
Sazed might be my favorite character in the book. I love his demeanor and sincerity. He helped the team so much, and I would love to have someone like him with me to point me the way. His loyalty is so refreshing to read. Also I hope he finds the legends and the religions he wished to know during the series.
I had my doubts about Dockson because of the whole 'betrayal' suspicion Vin brought into the narrative, because honestly it would be a great shock value to the series but I'm glad the author didn’t take the easy way out. I would rather read fantasy lore than read betrayal of their own. (please don't ever do that in the series. thank you.)
Breeze and Ham are strange but complimentary duo. I loved Ham's philosophical questions and Breeze's inwardly sighs to them.
Also I had Marsh for 2 minutes but if anything happens to him (again), I will k everybody in this room and then myself. (Rosa Diaz voice)
