In 1946, II. World War is over; from Australia
Among the hundreds of "war brides" sent to England, four women (Jean, Avice, Margaret/Maggie, Frances) travel a six-week aircraft carrier journey and the secrets revealed afterwards are told.
The novel is inspired by a real event and puts the transport with the ship and the confrontation of some facts on this ship.
