With the approach of those who are interested in the art of photography of the book
I think it will make a lot of sense. It can also be very enjoyable to study and evaluate with someone with a psychology education. Manguel's hero is Anatole Vasanpeine, a French bather from Poitiers, who discovered the art of photography between 1915-20. The bookseller Mösyo Kusakabe, whom he meets by chance, discovers the talent and passion in this ordinary-looking man. He is a character with the ability to see the world in identifiable parts separately from the whole. (But in the future, the character is like an example of an obsessive compulsive disorder.) Frankly, it is a kind of book that deserves both artistic criticism and a psychological review. This work ends with the anxiety, tension, self-repetitive behavior, rituals or routines produced by a man in love with details and his signature on his own sad end.
