I felt the same way starting Gerald Durrell’s 'My Family and Other Animals.' Despite being an autobiographical work, the book lacked a clear narrative thread to guide the reader. It felt more like a collection of random experiences rather than a cohesive story, and the lack of action made it a bit boring for my taste. However, the book is excellent for expanding your vocabulary. I would rate it a 6.8, but I’m rounding up to a 7 as the app doesn't support decimals.
