En iyi zamanlardı; en kötü zamanlardı. Bilgelik çağıydı; ahmaklık çağıydı. İnanç dönemiydi; şüphecilik dönemiydi. Aydınlığın mevsimiydi; karanlığın mevsimiydi. Umut baharıydı; umutsuzluk kışıydı. Öncemizde her şeyimiz vardı; öncemizde hiçbir şeyimiz yoktu. Hepimiz doğrudan cennete gidiyorduk; hepimiz doğrudan cehenneme gidiyorduk. Kısacası o dönem de bugünkü gibiydi; öyle ki, dönemin en gürültücü yetkililerinden kimileri, hem iyisi hem de kötüsü için 'en' ile başlayan karşılaştırmalarda ısrarcıydılar.

Muazzam bir Ingilizce ile yazılmış orijinali,çevirisi de güzel,dönüp dönüp okuyorum hep.Şimdi siteye girip ekleyeyim dedim ama eklenmiş :)
Yine de şuraya koyacağım Ingilizcesini;
