It tells the love story of two contrasting characters with differences in religion, culture, family, academia, and status.
On another note, there's an authoritative father with a high position, and a son who must always be successful, perfect, and worthy of him.
(The father-son relationship in this book reminded me of Kafka. In some ways, it's quite similar, actually.)
In the end, it's an intriguing book. Honestly, what intrigued me more was the relationship between Ollie and his father. If it were written about the father-son relationship, I would have read it with more interest.
