The book consists of 13 stories in total. I have commented on all the stories below. 1) MS. Found in a Bottle: "MS. Found in a Bottle" by Edgar Allan Poe is a classic example of his mastery in the Gothic and macabre. The story is presented as a narrative from an unnamed protagonist who, along with others, finds himself aboard a

Louise Penny is no ordinary mystery writer. Her 2021 novel, The Madness of Crowds, reaffirms her depth and her fearless approach to world-shaking issues. The story begins post-pandemic, when a renowned statistician comes out with her ‘resources versus needs’ assessment commissioned by the Canadian government. Though repellent to most, Professor
"A powerful wizard, who wanted to destroy an entire kingdom, placed a magic potion in the well from which all the inhabitants drank. Whoever drank that water would go mad. “The following morning, the whole population drank from the well and they all went mad, apart from the king and his family, who had a well set aside for them alone, which the magician had not managed to poison. The king was worried and tried to control the population by issuing a series of edicts governing security and public health. The policemen and the inspectors, however, had also drunk the poisoned water, and they thought the king’s decisions were absurd and resolved to take no notice of them. “When the inhabitants of the kingdom heard these decrees, they became convinced that the king had gone mad and was now giving nonsensical orders. They marched on the castle and called for his abdication. “In despair the king prepared to step down from the throne , but the queen stopped him, saying: ‘Let us go and drink from the communal well. Then we will be the same as them.’ “And that was what they did: The king and the queen drank the water of madness and immediately began talking nonsense. Their subjects repented at once; now that the king was displaying such wisdom, why not allow him to continue ruling the country? “The country continued to live in peace, although its inhabitants behaved very differently from those of its neighbors. And the king was able to govern until the end of his days.”
But I want to get closer to an explanation. My desire to be married forcibly unites two seemingly contradictory things that shape my relationship with you. Marriage guarantees the highest liberation and independence. I would have a family, which I believe is the best a man can achieve – it is the best that you have achieved – and I would be your equal, my shame and your tyranny would be at an end. It would be just like a fairy story; so hard to believe. It is too much; so it can’t happen. It is as if a prisoner wanted not only to escape from his prison (which perhaps could be done) but also to convert his prison into a holiday camp for himself. If he runs away he can’t re-build it, and if he re-builds it he can’t run away. And I stand in an especially unfortunate relationship with you, for to be independent I must be nothing like you, yet marriage is the best form of independence, but if I were married I would be closer to you. To try and solve this is madness, and whenever I try I become a little more mad.

In one of the greatest plays, Hamlet, William Shakespeare introduces a tragic tale of the Danish royal family with elements of politics, loyalty, heroism, friendship and love. The ghost of King Hamlet, killed by his brother in the play, is the extraordinary element of the play. The start of the game is almost given by this ghost. The ghost appears first to his son Hamlet's friends and then to Hamlet. He only talks to his son. He tells him how he was killed and asks him to take his revenge. Does a man who wants to kill his own brother deserve the throne? Hamlet's experience with the dead and suicidal thoughts make him nervous about life and death. The story is governed by emotions rather than reason. The key idea is Hamlet's shifting sanity that fluctuates throughout the play as a performance and real madness. There is a systematic logic behind Hamlet's disguise. The other main theme that glorifies the game is a perfect act of revenge accompanied by delay and doubt. These themes, along with the dramatic vehicles and characters involved in the plot, add to the textual integrity of the play.

ONCE UPON A time there was a king who had three beautiful daughters. These daughters grew to be women, and the women had children, beautiful children, so many, many children, only something bad happened , something stupid , criminal , terrible , something avoidable , something that never should have happened , and yet something that
“Ever any madness in your family?” He asked, in a matter of fact tone. I felt very annoyed. “Is that question in the interest of science, too? (...) Are you an alienist?” “Every doctor should be a little.”

Comparison Between Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights  There are many authors who show us 18th century British society. While some of the authors glorify the community life in the 18th century, some of them criticize the century by their strict rules about the women and social discriminations. Undoubtedly, Emily Bronte and Jane Austen are

I love the new interpretations of books or movies. This is why I love Marissa Meyer and her imagination on showing us her adjustments on classics. By classics I mean the princesses and in this one the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. I believe I would love this book if I have read the original books first. I've tried to visualize
