Since the US is the biggest music market in the world, we were a little fearful at first. But looking back, I wonder, ‘Why were we so intimidated?’ Not to mention our goal now isn’t to win awards but to be like other legendary artists and be working as BTS for as long as possible. There aren’t really that many artists who have a very long golden era. But that doesn’t mean the artists stop making music overnight or groups just disappear. We’re thinking long and hard about how to be onstage for as long and as happily as we can.

As RM humorously says about awards and accolades:
___It’s not like the Grammys are our friend, or anything… (laughs). It’s just that everyone keeps going, “Grammy, Grammy,” but it’s amazing that we were nominated at all. And who cares if we didn’t win, anyway? I guess you can put it on a shelf and say, “I’m a Grammy-winning artist,” for a few seconds (laughs).
A band of seven young men whom no one paid attention to, except the few who looked down on them, fighting through various difficulties and paying back with love all the people who came to love and support them along the way. But not only did their story keep continuing after they’d triumphed as heroes, reality kept throwing all sorts of obstacles no one could ever have imagined.
Since debuting with 2 COOL 4 SKOOL and reaching MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, BTS’s accomplishments over those seven years followed the progression of what could almost be considered a classical hero narrative.
