So many times I’ve been told: “Why can’t you just let go?” “You gotta just do it and get over it.” “The only way to get over it is to face your fears.” I’ve even had someone say I use my anxiety as an excuse to get out of going out. Because, sure, having a panic attack is so much more fun than hanging out with friends.
People who don’t understand think it’s easy to push through the paralysing fear.
