If you are not familiar with Old English or Anglo-Saxon myths and legends, it will be hell for you to even understand it let alone like it. To me, it was absolutely great. I really like epic poems and Beowulf is one of the forefathers of epic poetry. It inspired hundreds of literary works and many famous writers. Great story, and great characters. A must-read for anyone really.
