1985 yılında Cenevre'de doğdu. 2010'da Cenevre Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi'nden mezun oldu.
Edebiyat dünyasına 2005 yılında yayımlanan ilk öyküsü "Le Tigre (Kaplan)" ile adım attı.
2009'da kaleme aldığı ilk romanı "Les derniers jours de nos péres'i (Babalarımızın Son Günleri)" yayımlayacak yayınevi bulamayınca, kitabın el yazmasıyla, dört yılda bir, sadece basılmamış romanların kabul edildiği ve önemli bir ödül olan Cenevreli Yazarlar Ödülü'ne başvurdu.
Ödülü kazanmasının ardından roman nihayet 2012'de yayımlandı.
Uzun zamandır soluk soluğa okunan Amerikan tarzı bir roman yazma hayali kuran Dicker, "Harry Q. Davası'nın Ardındaki Gerçek" adlı romanıyla bu hayalini gerçekleştirdi.
