Fasting carries significant health benefits. Metabolism increases, energy increases and blood sugars decrease. The only remaining question is this: Can you do it? I hear this one all the time. Absolutely, 100 percent YES. In fact, fasting has been a part of human culture since the dawn of our species.

Orucun sağlık açısından önemli faydaları vardır. Metabolizma artar, enerji artar ve kan şekeri düşer. Geriye kalan tek soru şu: Yapabilir misin? Bunu her zaman duyuyorum. Kesinlikle, yüzde 100 EVET. Aslında oruç, türümüzün başlangıcından beri insan kültürünün bir parçası olmuştur.
My best workouts were always in the morning, when I was rested and fresh. Some bodybuilders prefer to train later in the day, but the majority of the competitors I've been around also liked to train first thing in the day. To this day, Bill Pearl gets his workout in at 5 A.M. and then has the rest of the day to pursue his other interests. If

This is the ancient secret. This is the cycle of life. Fasting follows feasting. Feasting follows fasting. Diets must be intermittent, not steady. Food is a celebration of life. Every single culture in the world celebrates with large feasts. That’s normal, and it’s good. However, religion has always reminded us that we must balance our feasting with periods of fasting—“atonement,” “repentance” or “cleansing.” These ideas are ancient and time-tested. Should you eat lots of food on your birthday? Absolutely. Should you eat lots of food at a wedding? Absolutely. These are times to celebrate and indulge. But there is also a time to fast. We cannot change this cycle of life. We cannot feast all the time. We cannot fast all the time. It won’t work. It doesn’t work.

Bu kadim bir sırdır. Bu hayatın döngüsüdür. Oruç, ziyafetin ardından gelir. Ziyafet orucun ardından gelir. Diyetler sabit değil aralıklı olmalıdır. Yemek hayatın bir kutlamasıdır. Dünyadaki her kültür büyük bayramlarla kutlar. Bu normaldir ve iyidir. Ancak din bize her zaman ziyafetimizi oruç dönemleriyle -"kefaret", "tövbe" veya "temizlik"- dengelememiz gerektiğini hatırlatmıştır. Bu fikirler eskidir ve zamanla test edilmiştir. Doğum gününde çok yemek yemeli misin? Kesinlikle. Düğünde çok yemek yemeli misiniz? Kesinlikle. Bunlar kutlama ve şımartma zamanlarıdır. Ancak oruç tutmanın da bir vakti vardır. Bu yaşam döngüsünü değiştiremeyiz. Her zaman bayram yapamayız. Her zaman oruç tutamayız. İşe yaramayacak. İşe yaramıyor.

I read once, musicians don't retire. They stop when there's no more music in them. Well, I still have music in me, absolutely positive about that.
