5/5 Stars (%90/100) This has been on my "to-read" list for over 3 years now. I finally decided to stop being lazy and finish the book. It was really amazing and much better than I expected. The title is clear: the book showcases and explains pretty much every important place, event, journey etc. The maps are the most detailed ones I have seen so far. There are a lot of maps of Middle-Earth on the Internet but I have never seen so detailed and beautifully drawn maps before. The book is split into many chapters including the first three ages of Arda, The Hobbit and LoTR. From the map of Nirnaeth Arnoediad (The Fifth Great Battle against Melkor) to Bilbo and Frodo's journey in the 3rd Age, there are many more maps and pictures. I especially enjoyed the maps which show the journey of certain characters like Turin, Nienor, Beren and Luthien and so forth. The maps about the First Age (and before that) are also super interesting. I would recommend the book to every Tolkien geek. I will probably get a physical copy in the future and look at the maps from time to time.

How is it possible to write dispassionately of life in a concentration camp in such a way as to engender great feeling in the reader? This is how Frankl dealt with his experience of those terrible years. The dispassionate writing makes the horrors of the camp extremely distressing, more so than writing that is more emotionally involved. It is almost reportage. The first half of the book is equal in its telling to The Diary of a Young Girl in furthering our understanding of those dreadful times. There are occasional glimmers of humanity from the Germans. These are so small that rather than illuminate any basic goodness, they cast further into the shadows the terror of living in a place and time where death might be a beating or a shot to the head at any moment. There are also stories of the depths that some of the Jewish victims would sink to in what they would do to stay alive themselves. It made me think that rather than condemn these people for becoming tools of the Nazis, what would I do faced with death or the chance to stay alive a little longer and maybe save family or friends. 7 stars, golden stars for this half of the book. The second half is about Frankl's psychotherapeutic methods and lost me in boredom. I did read this in its entirety but it wouldn't have spoiled the book, or my appreciation of the genius retelling and brilliant writing of the first half, if I hadn't.

“Animal Farm” Kitap İncelemesi ve Yorumu
George Orwell’in yaklaşık üç yıl önce okumuş olduğum Hayvan Çiftliği eserini tekrar İngilizce versiyonundan okumak istedim.

(Yine diğer kitaplardaki gibi) Paraya ihtiyacından dolayı normally illegal but this time just weird bir iş bulup uzunca bir süre kaos içinde yaşıyor.

4/5 Stars (%81/100) As a huge Gaiman fan, I am consuming every book that is written by/about him. I haven't heard of this audiobook and it was a nice surprise for me. It is about an astronaut who wakes up, not remembering anything, and tries to make sense of what is going on. He discovers his own identity as the famous novelist Neil Gaiman. I don't want to spoil it too much but it was really good. I liked the postmodern elements as well as Gaiman's brilliant voice acting. The ending was quite nice too. It is also pretty short (30+ minutes) and I'm sure you wouldn't get bored.

4/5 Stars (%80/100) Review for the Audible version. It is very short (6+ minutes) but I quite enjoyed it. Seeing Pyle's comics on my home makes me really happy and I often find myself smiling. I haven't been able to read the original Strange Planet but I found this audiobook by chance. It is about the creatures observing a "sneaking, hiding, vibrating creature" and they try to mimic it. It was a fun story and I liked the voice acting as well. It is a nice story for children too.

From the midst of the fifteenth century on, the Ottoman Empire played a crucial role in shaping European history. This factor has not been weaved into Western historiography to its detriment, because explaining concepts such as raison d'etat, realpolitik, balance of power or even European identity remain somewhat shortchanged without the role of

2/5 Stars (%44/100) PS: I'm writing this review for Season 1 of the series (First 50 chapters). The premise of the series: Ryu Han-Bin, ex-military, is chosen and transported into a magical world. Everyone is given a guideline (you can level up, use stats, see skills etc) but his guideline is glitched. So, he spends a long time in the tutorial
