Gerçekte kim olduğumuzu unuttuk. Uyum gösterip iyi birer vatandaş, çocuk ve öğrenci olduk. Isyan etsek bile bu dış güçlere karşı bir tepkiydi. İçimizdeki kendimize yönelik neşe, güven ve sevgiyi yitirdik. We forgot who we really are. We adapted and became good citizens, children and students. Even if we rebelled, it was a reaction against external forces. We have lost the joy, trust and love for ourselves.

Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.
