I’ve read 7 books from this author so far and after ‘The Villain’, ‘The Kiss Thief’ became my second favourite. It is an ‘arranged marriage’ and a great ‘enemies to lovers’ novel! Both are my favourites 19-year-old Francesca Rossi is the daughter of one of the most powerful and richest Italian families in Chicago. Despite being born in a mobster family, she is raised like a princess whose only duty is to marry and give birth to heirs to his father’s business. Francesca is very young but smart, mature girl. Although living in 21st century America, she never kissed a boy or went on a date without being followed. Angelo Bandini is the son of an important Italian family, and he and Francesca are in love and getting married soon. But every plan is doomed to fail when Senator Wolfe Keaton comes and blackmails Francesca’s father to marry his daughter. Wolfe hates her father so much and is determined to get revenge for his family. Francesca is going to be hurt a lot in the war between her father and fiance! I loved Wolfe and Francesca so muchThe small cracks in Wolfe’s iron walls became bigger and bigger and finally he saw that love, mercy and hope were more vital than hatred and revenge. Their story didn’t start nicely or with love but they found love in each other! L. J. Shen’s success in making the readers feel everything the characters feel is amazing as always.
