·403 syf.····Okunma: 01 EylĂŒl 2021 17:06 Vi Keeland is one of my favourite writers! I love the novels she wrote alone and also the ones with Penelope Wardđ This one is an office romance between Bennett and Annaliseđ„° A little summary first:
When Bennett sees Annalise for the first time, sheâs been breaking his windshield wiper because her hair got stuck in itđ Why? Because sheâs put her parking ticket under the windshield thinking he deserved it. When they meet at the office, they learn that theyâre competing for the same job âCreative Directorâ after their advertising companiesâ merger. The board will decide whoâll stay here and whoâll go to Dallas branch. Of course neither Bennett nor Annalise wants to move to Dallas, so they begin to work for the position harder. While it is allâs fair in love and war for Bennett, Annalise decides to play fair. They are attracted to each other a lot, but each one has issues. Bennett never has long-term relationships, and Annaliseâs been left by his eight-year-boyfriend. While they continue to race for the position at work, they also try to understand the attraction between them.
I usually like Viâs male characters more than female ones. But here, I liked Annalise more. While I understand and sympathize with Bennett and his fears due to his past, I couldnât like him almost until the end of the book. Annalise was the more likeable character and I liked her fairness, integrity and courage. Bennettâs interaction with Lucas was the best part I love about him. Because I could see that he has a heart and he isnât the narcissist jerk he looks likeđ€Ł
Despite not being one of my favourites from Vi, this is a good office romance and enemies-to-lovers book that you will definitely like
