Immediately after Tominaga throws Morio from the cliff, he is saved by a rope tied around his waist, which he created earlier during the struggle and fastened around the tree Mayu was hiding in. Held tightly in place, Tominaga taunts the creature. Suddenly, Morio uses the anchor on its back to hook onto a tree growing on the side of the cliff, saving itself. It groans loudly and begins scaling the side of the cliff, while Tominaga watches in disbelief. Noticing that the anchor is weakly supported on a branch, Tominaga acts quickly and swings himself toward Morio. It lunges its harpoon at Tominaga, barely missing, and Tominaga successfully breaks the anchor loose from the tree, sending the Creature into the sea. Mike and Zi Li stand inside of the temple hall, where Inéz and Marilou still lay bound on the floor. The Shaman watches close by. Inéz's phone rings as Claire tries to call her. Startled by the sound, Mike and Zi Li look over at Inéz, who awakens and calls out to Claire. Mike mocks the dazed Inéz, who struggles to understand the situation and attempts to break free from her restraints. Mike begins to reveal his plan: due to the U.S. government's cover-up of the Raccoon City Destruction Incident and its continued involvement in Bio Organic Weapons research, he plans to release the B.O.W. in the temple and let it run rampant. Takeru climbs back to the top of the cliff after Morio falls in the sea. He rests on the ground, exhausted and still in disbelief that he survived. With the last of his energy, he stumbles back to Mayu and collapses. She cradles him, with tears in her eyes. She tells him that it is OK, as she could not offer her body as she promised earlier. She opens up to Takeru, telling him that as a gravure model, nobody ever cares about anything beyond her body and her image. She tries to explain why she offered herself to him earlier. He then realizes that everything he has heard about her is a lie, and that she is finally showing him her true colors. He reassures her. Just then, both of their stomachs growl and they laugh. Takeru mentions that he completely forgot about how hungry he was during the skirmish. At the temple, Mike continues to gloat about his accomplishments, and brings up the reason for producing the Idol Survival reality show; there are so many cameramen around the island that their deaths will provide more than enough footage to advertise bioweaponry for foreign despots and terrorists. As the weaponry is relatively cheap for the black market, he hopes it will be a success, and points out he was paid considerably for his services. As the bio-weapon begins to awaken, Mike half-jokes that Inéz will be used as nourishment. Mike asks Zǐlì to head out to their "Master" and inform him of their discovery, and that they should resume the island's secret operations. Mike and Zǐlì are interrupted by the Shaman, who berates them for stealing his "wife". The creature finally awakens, which the Shaman claims is due to responding to the keyword "wife". Realising he has walked into a trap, Mike tries to halt the computer program and force the creature back to sleep. The Shaman is adamant the sequence cannot be aborted, but Mike remains at the computer out of shock of what he is seeing. The creature wields a propeller and slices him apart. Zǐlì manages to escape. Inéz unravels herself from the ropes and wakes up Marilou. Hearing her TerraSave-issue phone ringtone, she rushes to it and turns on the 'SOS' and 'Track Me' features, which allow other TerraSave members to work out her location. When the creature swings at her, Inéz drops the phone and it smashes on the floor. This worries her, as it is possible the signal was not received by Claire's phone.
