the illustrations are amazingly clear and there’s a very well written editorial for each section that gives a great insight into the various ways anatomical art evolved. If you wanted something for collaging, the Vault series books are made for it and may be a better match, as this is high end and collectible rather than a working artist’s reference book — although I bought it with a mind to understanding and emulating old woodcut illustrations. But I’m very glad to have it and enjoyed reading the copy as much as the presentation of the illustrations — something I wasn’t expecting.
