It was challenging at times but overall, I enjoyed it. First and foremost, I listened to this even though I originally read the first 1 or 2 chapters. I found the audiobook version satisfactory (especially the pronunciation of Chinese names was good). The book follows the story of Chen whose parents are killed in an accident regarding ball lightning. This is why he devotes his entire life to research and goes a long way. Knowing Liu Cixin, this was pretty wild and full of scientific explanations (which some might find difficult to understand). I especially liked the part about quantum physics, superposition and so on. The ending was interesting as well. Overall, it's a good book but I'm not sure it's a good point to start Liu Cixin. So, take this with a grain of salt.
