Knut Hamsun offers us a love story in this book. We read the love story between a miller's son and the daughter of an aristocratic family. It may seem cliché when you read the subject. However, it was nice for me to read this from Knut Hamsun. It has a simple, beautiful, plain expression. The descriptions of nature are very beautiful. Here, too, we clearly see the social class differences that we encounter in every period.
