Franz Kafka asks journalist Milena Jesenská, whom he met at a meeting of friends in Prague, to translate her stories into Czech. This wish, which caused Kafka and Milena to cross paths, will be the beginning of a relationship, and these correspondences collected under the title of Letters to Milena will be the only means of limited communication. Letters to Milena is a unique book, a love novel woven into letters. This correspondence, which Kafka started like a novel by mentioning a rainy day in his first letter to Milena dated April 1920, turns into an expression of hopelessness, helplessness and blockage as it continues until shortly before the author's death. Because, as Kafka said, writing a letter means undressing in front of ghosts, which are waiting for this like hungry wolves. The kisses written down do not reach their destination, the ghosts consume them on the way.
