A cult classic. Holden Caulfield as an anti-hero reminds a bit of all the others (eg. Tyler Durden, L'Etranger...). Nowadays in 2017, the movie "Rebel In The Rye" based on Salinger's life depicts his experience while he writes this novel. The novel, very mysteriously, has attracted many criminals, so to say (assassins in particular).
Definitely a must-read, especially for the adolescents. :)
