Years ago, I devoured the first book in the series and was eagerly anticipating the rest. When I heard that the series only consisted of three books, I was quite disappointed because Tolkien truly transported me to different worlds whenever I read his work. The journey was so sweet, and like everyone else, I didn’t want it to end. In this journey, which didn’t last very long in "real" life, I learned a lot and had the opportunity to understand myself better. I realized my passion for fantasy literature and solidified my desire to write something in this genre. For me, "The Return of the King" is just a little bit better than "The Two Towers." Each book has its own unique and beautiful aspects, of course, but this one somehow evokes different feelings. These retrospective reviews are making me really want to return to the trilogy I haven’t read in years.
