Maybe Descartes' life was boring or we don't have enough detail about his life/personality or maybe the author had a dull style; whatever the reason, this book was very uninspiring, superficial. I could not manage to get into Descartes' head, grasp his personality, understand his main views, achievements.
If you still want to read this book, I recommend you to skim it, not read it line by line.
