Moda tasarımcısı Callie, ortağının ricası ile bir bekarlığa veda müzayedesine katılır. Ödül ise Calliedir. Kabul eder çünkü en yüksek teklifi patronu Bastian verecektir. Fakat arttırmada Bastian teklif vermez. Ve Callie kendini Rutherford'a satılmış bulur :))) Oldukça klişe bir konu aslında. Bir geçmişleri var ve kaçma kovalamaca, nefret, aşk,yanlış anlaşılmalar derken tipik Harlequin kitaplarından aslında. Konu basit, kafa dağıtan kitaplardan,kolayca okunuyor. Ama çok beklentiye girmemek lazım.
Well, 'The Seagull'' is more in the fashion of a GOOD Chekhov work, it's overflowing with humanity, it teaches but does not moralize and its intensity is subdued by its steady flow that keeps it being overdramatic.
There's a bit of autobiography here, Chekhov seems to be reflecting on his own struggles as a writer and his need to be accepted and wanted by his audiences and critics,on which apparently he placed great emphasis, this comes out a lot in Trepliov and Trigorin's characters and personalities, as well as in Arkadina, a matriarchal entity that hovers over the life and career of Trepliov. One can easily imagine Chekhov feeling the same way Trepliov felt, when his mother criticized his play, in reaction to the reviews of 'The Seagull' at the time.
The instable nature of human emotions is a constant in this play, everyone seems to be losing their minds over love, literally throwing in their lot for whatever path their wayward hearts might show them and the typical bubbling to the surface of this theme of human feelings conflicting which other is well arranged, nothing is over the top and there's gentle understanding in the ways in which the characters struggle and in the ways in which the reader is meant to interpret said struggles.
The ending tops it off wonderfully, it's a somber, calm before the storm kind of setting and rounds up a work that is both unnerving in its depth to which it reflects on how one can get lost in his head , like Trepliov does and the insensitive and sometimes heartless world that one must confront and the need to always push through no matter what is thrown at you along the way.

Yine tavsiye üzerine okuduğum ve bayıldığım bir yazarla tanıştım. O nasıl bir anlatımdı, her sayfasını hissederek okudum. Colorado Valisi Michael ile Blane arasındaki yasak aşk üzerine kurulu ama bu ilk etapta akla gelen bilindik aldatmalardan değil. Yıllar sonra ruh eşini bulan vali ve Blaine'in sevgileri üzerine mücadelesi. Müthiş akıcı bir anlatım ve duygu yoğunluğu vardı, kesinlikle diğer kitaplarını da okumayı düşünüyorum, tavsiye ederim.
Politik Romance değişik oluyor arada fakat benim için bu türde iki korkunç tepe noktası var o yüzden çıta çok yüksek . Bu kitapta güzel evet ama o çıta yüzünden 7 puan aldı :D
Katy Evans 'ın 2 kitaplık White House serisi nefistir ve tabi taptığım R.C. Martin'in Heartless kitabı bunlar kadar güzelini ne zaman okurum bilmiyorum .

Bu bazılarının hoşuna gitmeyebilecek bir konu zira evli erkek ve aldatma var . Sırf bu yüzden bazı manyaklar aşırı düşük puan vermiş kitaba sanki gerçek hayatta bunlar olmuyor . Şahsi fikrim evlilik savaş alanı gibiyse yada artık saman gibi olduysa ayrılmak istemek herkesin hakkı bu hayata bir kere geliniyor sonuçta . Ama işte bu sırada
Bu ara bizde basılmamış o kadar dehşet güzel kitaplar okuyunca elimde olan basılı kitaplardan okuduklarımı beğenemez oldum . Bunlar ne kadar muthiş yazarlar inanılır gibi değil yemın ederım yabancı ülkede yaşasam yanmıştım evi barkı satıp kitap almaktan :D Kitap aslında aldatma üzerine ama yok bana fark etmedi resmen taptım 10 verdım daha olsa
