Bunny
April is the cruellest month…
Isn’t that how the poem goes? At least it’s always been true for me. An Easter baby, I’ve been an inconvenience to my parents from the day I was born. From nasty words to pure indifference, my childhood was something I didn’t like to revisit. Especially not that dreadful day when they took my bunny away from me…
But luckily, that’s all in the past! I have a new job—my dream job, actually—in a chocolate shop, and my new boss, Easter Bennett, is the dreamiest guy to have walked the face of the earth, ever. He’s a little grumpy, though… well, a lot actually, and I often find him looking at me funny when he thinks I don’t notice.
Sometimes I wonder if he is ‘The One.’ The one I can finally let my guard down with and be myself. The one I can introduce to Bunny. Because being around my new boss has Bunny begging to come out. He’s pleading to be set free so he can be owned by him, my Master.
