The author of this book, Y. Fehmi Şenok, who is a diver himself, says that he has aimed to describe what he saw in the depths of the seas and so, started to share the photographs he took of the beauties of the underwater world with his friends.
According to Şenok's foreword in the book, many countries have references and books that describe the living creatures and diving centers of their seas. Whereas for years, divers in Turkey have lived in scarcity of this kind of information even though underwater sports has a history of 47 years in Turkey. He adds that he wishes this book will provide the readers with information regarding the different diving points on our coasts and surroundings and that it be a guide for the young generation about Turkish seas, an inspiration to the writers for their articles to be published in travel, nature and environmental magazines and that it be the beginning of other similar books.
The book gives detailed information on the most popular diving points in Turkey. It also has a Turkish / English / Latin "Animal Guide" and a list of diving centers in Turkey, sorted by regions.
