Elise slipped her arms around his neck. "Fae dick."
"You love me and my fae dick," he said, rubbing his nose against hers.
"One definitely more than other," Elise replied. She yelped as he picked her up and bit her shoulder. His laughter was a deep rumble in his chest, as he carried her back towards their bedroom.
"I love you too," Elise said and kissed him, their bond burning hotter than ever.
"I present to you, The Blood Prince of the Fae and his mate and consort, Lady Elise Carlisle," Cora announced formally, bowing to her and Kian before joining us.
For the first time in fifteen hundred years, he thought of the future with some hope and was willing to do anything he could to keep her in it.
The magic flowed between them, the final tie securing their mating in place. There would never be anyone or anything else that would take priority over her.
"Only because you're now holding my leash and not the other way around," Kian replied, folding his arms. "I lost my fucking mind and all reason tonight because you were gone. I went to the humans and hesitated to rescue you because a fae only wants their mates to be happy and safe. But you aren't happy or safe with them. You called out my name through the bond, and I would have slaughtered the whole damn world to get you back. I'm one of the strongest fae in all of our long history, but I'm powerless when it comes to you! So yes, I am your slave in every way that counts."
"Did you only rescue me because you need my blood?"
Kian's expression softened, and he pushed a lock of wet hair behind her ear. "No, it's because you're my mate."
"You dare touch my mate and do violence to her?" Kian snarled, pulling one of his swords loose. "Release her, or I'll kill every single one of you."
