Guillermo del Toro Gómez, Meksikalı film yönetmeni. Oscar ödüllü Pan'ın Labirenti ve Suyun Sesi filmleriyle tanınır.
Del Toro Meksika'da, Jalisco Eyaletinin başkenti olan Guadalajara'da doğmuştur. Katolik anneannesi tarafından yetiştirilen Del Toro, Instituto de Ciencas'da öğrenim görmüştür. İlk film prodüksiyonunu 1986'da, henüz 21 yaşındayken yapmıştır. Öncesinde yaklaşık 10 yıl makyaj dizaynı konusunda çalışmış, ve 80lerin başında Necropia isimli kendi firmasını kurmuştur. Del Toro aynı zamanda Guadalajara'da gerçekleştirilen film festivalinin de ortak kurucularındandır. Yönetmenlik kariyeri sırasında 'The Tequila gang' isimli kendi prodüksiyon firmasını kurmuştur. 1998'de babasının Meksika'da kaçırılması üzerine, Del Toro yurtdışında hayatını sürdürmeye karar vermiştir. Şu anda California ( A.B.D.)'da yaşamaktadır.
