Not only we do not have control over our money, but we are also not happy or satisfied about where we spend it. Frankly, the ancient economics theories can serve as a solution to this situation only to a certain extent. Our life, in which cause-effect relationships became incomprehensible, drags us to places we do not want to go. This is how we manage not only our households, but also our businesses.

Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, 1969 yılında İstanbul’da doğdu. Işık İlkokulu ve ardından Saint-Michel Lisesi’ni bitirdi. İstanbul Üniversitesi İktisat Fakültesi İngilizce İktisat Bölümü’nden
1991 yılında mezun oldu. Aynı yıl İstanbul Üniversitesi İktisat Fakültesi’ne araştırma görevlisi olarak kabul edildi. Askerlik görevine MSB F-16 Uçakları Sistem Yönetim Daire Başkanlığı’nda yedek subay olarak devam ederken 1997 yılında İktisat Teorisi
anabilim dalında doçent unvanını aldı. Risk Yönetimi ve Finansal Kurumlar üzerine kitap ve makaleler yazarken, yatırım kuruluşlarında danışmanlık ve yönetim kurulu üyeliği yaptı. 2002 yılında profesör oldu. Çukurova Holding, Anadolu Endüstri Holding, Doğan Holding ve Altınbaş Holding’de çeşitli görevler aldı. TV8, FOX ve CNNTürk televizyonlarında ekonomi yorumculuğu,çeşitli gazetelerde köşe yazarlığı yaptı. Türkiye İhracatçılar Meclisi Genel Sekreterliği, Türkiye Finansman Şirketleri Genel Sekreterliği, Vergi Konseyi Üyeliği, İstanbul Kültür Üniversitesi İktisat Bölüm Başkanlığı, Kemerburgaz Üniversitesi Rektör Yardımcılığı
ve Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Genel Sekreterliği görevlerinde bulundu. İngilizce ve Fransızca seminer ve konferanslar vermekte olan Prof. Dr. Alkin’in bundan başka yabancı dilde ve Türkçe yazılmış kitapları bulunmaktadır. GSM ve telekomünikasyon, uluslararası finans kurumları, enerji ve demir-çelik sektörlerinde çeşitli görevlerde bulunan Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin, Kemerburgaz Üniversitesi’nde ekonomi dersleri vermekte ve Rektör Yardımcılığı görevine devam etmektedir. Halen ödeme sistemleri ve finansal yönetim üzerine uluslararası projelerde yer almaktadır.
