Bir ara Darülbedayi'de komedi bölümünde öğretmenlik yaptı. I. Dünya Savaşı'ndan sonra sinemada da yer aldı. Türk sineması'nın ilk döneminde Malül Gaziler Cemiyeti adına filmler çekti. Bu filmlerin ilki Mürebbiye'dir. Mürebbiye'yi hem yönetti hem de baş rolünde oynadı.
