Marjane Satrapi (d. 1969, Reşt), Çizgi film romancısı, Akademi ödülü adayı animasyon film yönetmeni ve çocuk kitabı yazarı. Aslen Kaçar Türkleri'ndendir.
Marjane Satrapi, İran'da, İslam Cumhuriyeti devriminden önceki komunist ve sosyalist faaliyetlere karışmış bir ailenin çocuğu olarak doğdu. Oradaki Fransız okuluna gitti ve okul yıllarında Şah'ın düşüşü, Ayetullah Humeyni rejimi ve İran-Irak Savaşı'nın ilk yılları gibi önemli politik olaylara tanıklık etti.
1983'te, 14 yaşındayken ailesi tarafından rejimden kaçması için Viyana'ya gönderildi. Daha sonra film haline de getirilen otobiyografik romanı Persepolis (film)'e göre, lise yıllarında orada yaşadı ve üniversite için İran'a geri döndü. Burada 21 yaşında evleneceği Rıza'yla tanıştı, 1 yıl evli kaldıktan sonra boşandılar. Daha sonra Tahran Azad Üniversitesi'nde Görsel İletişim bölümünü bitirdi ve Strasbourg, Fransa'ya taşındı.
