İngiltere'deki Sussex Üniversitesi Bilişsel ve Bilgisayar Bilimleri Fakültesi'nde evrimsel ve uyarlanabilir sistemler grubunda doktora sonrası araştırmacı (1992-94); Max Planck Psikolojik Araştırmalar Enstitüsü, Münih, Almanya, Uyarlanabilir Davranış ve Biliş Merkezi'nde Araştırma Bilimcisi (1995-96); University College London, Ekonomik Öğrenme ve Sosyal Evrim Merkezi'nde Kıdemli Araştırma Görevlisi (1996-2000); 2001'den beri Albuquerque'deki New Mexico Üniversitesi'nde çalışmaktadır. 2009 yılında Queensland Tıbbi Araştırma Enstitüsü, Genetik Epidemiyoloji Grubu, Brisbane, Avustralya'da Misafir Bilim İnsanı olarak bulunmuştur.
