Hi! I’m an avid romance reader who believes the more angst the better. I’ve been writing since I was eleven years old, mostly poetry and short stories. I had my first poem published when I was twelve after winning a national competition. I started writing my first manuscript during my junior year of high school, with plans of going to college and majoring in communication and journalism. Life threw me a curveball, and I enlisted in the United States Navy when I was eighteen. I found my way into medicine and joined the civilian world again as a Registered Nurse. I felt like something was missing in my life, so I went on to obtain my master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and my doctorate degree in Executive Healthcare Leadership. Even though I love my career, I still felt like I was missing a crucial part of myself. I started writing again and realized that I am the happiest when I’m telling a story.
