In the book, we see the world of adults through the eyes of 12-year-old Edgar. A man named Baron forms a friendship with Edgar to get closer to Edgar's mother, and events follow.
After "Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman" and "Fear", this was the third book of Zweig I have read. Zweig is a writer who has a great narrative of passions and uses descriptive method very well. However, I see women who are cheating / deceived in all three of his books. I will read his other books, but I cannot understand why he always deals with the infidelity of women (for these three books) in his books.
