Rian Visser is a book jacket artist who has done work for John Flanagan's novels. As a jacket designer, she would be responsible for arranging photos and text on the book cover, but would not responsible for creating any of the illustrations herself.
Rian studied graphic design from 1983 to 1989 at the Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch. In 1994, she started her own design agency, where she mainly focuses on book design.
For publisher Gottmer, she designs covers for De Grijze Jager, Broederband, and De Nedergrim. She has also designed covers for many of her own books, such as Robotoorlog.
In 2013, Rian received the Literacy Prize, awarded by Princess Laurentien and Mrs. Jet Bussemaker, Minister of Education, Culture and Science in the context of the Week of Literacy.
