After her husband's death, Joan Didion started writing this book. The term "magical thinking" is extremely important in this case. This is Didion's way of dealing with grief. Soon after her husband's death, her daughter also passed away. I liked the detail in the book cover. (Blue letters spell John, her husband's name) I don't really have much to say. Many people liked the book because they also lost someone but I personally don't enjoy such nonfiction books even though I somehow relate to her. It was okay in short.
