Clinton Richard Dawkins (d. 26 Mart 1941), Britanyalı etolog, evrimci biyolog ve yazar. Oxford Üniversitesi bünyesinde 1995 yılında onun için Charles Simonyi tarafından oluşturulmuş Simonyi Professorship for the Public Understanding of Science kürsüsünde 2008 yılında emekli oluncaya kadar görev yapmıştır. Dawkins ateist ve hümanisttir, British Humanist Association Başkan Yardımcılığını yürütmektedir. Evrenin oluşumuna dair yaradılışçı inanışlara karşı çıkışıyla bilinir. Çok sayıda popüler bilim kitabı yazmış, televizyon ve radyo programları yapmıştır. Kitapları 31 dile çevrilmiş ve milyonlarca satmıştır. Dawkins 1976 yılında yayınlanan Gen Bencildir adlı eseriyle gündeme gelmiştir.
