1957 yılında almanya’nın köln şehrinde dünyaya geldi. iletişim araştırmaları üzerine eğitimini tamamlamasının ardından köln'de intevi adlı reklam ajansını kurdu ve 1990 yılında yazarlığa adım atarak pek çok hikaye, novella ve hiciv kaleme aldı. yayımlanan ilk eseri, tarihi bir roman olan tod und teufel’di (1995), 2000 yılında ise bir gerilim romanı olan lautlos yayımlandı. yazarın diğer kitapları arasında ise; mordshunger (1996), die dunkle seite(1997), keine angst (1999), nachrichten aus einem unbekannten universum (2006), die tollkühnen abenteuer der ducks auf hoher see (2006) bulunmaktadır.
