I held my breath while reading. The ending? You’ll never guess it. No character is what they seem. I just finished The Housemaid by Freida McFadden — and it’s also the FIRST book I ever read on my Kindle. I felt the tension on every page and couldn’t stop reading. The ending completely shocked me. No character is what they seem. I watched the film too, but the book is way more intense. 10/10
