"Ask me," Neil insisted, "or stick around long enough to figure it out for yourself."
"I'll get bored of you eventually," Andrew said.
"Are you sure?" Neil asked. "Rumor has it I'm pretty interesting."
"Don't believe everything you hear."
Neil ignored that dismissal because Andrew was already pulling him down again. They kissed, and Neil felt his head spin, kissing until he wasn’t sure if he could hold himself up anymore.
"I won’t be like them," Neil said. "I won’t let you let me go."
"One hundred and one," Andrew said, "going on one hundred and two."
"You're a terrible liar," Neil said, and Andrew kissed him into silence.

"Our game is over now, isn't it?" Neil asked.
• "It's still my turn," Andrew reminded him.
"But after that?" Neil asked. "I have no secrets left to trade."
• "Come up with something else."
"What would you take?"
• "What would you give me?"
"Don't ask questions you already know the answer to," Neil said. Andrew slanted a bored look at him, unimpressed with having his own words thrown back at him. Before Andrew could open the door, Neil leaned a shoulder against it and said, "I think I should get a few bonus turns, considering you got all your answers from me for free."
• "You volunteered those," Andrew said.
"The circumstances kind of forced my hand." Andrew gazed at him in silence. Neil refused to take the hint or move, determined to play the waiting game. A few minutes passed before Andrew finally held up a finger and said, "One free question."
"One?" Neil echoed. "The fewer you give me, the more you'll hate what I ask."
"I hate everything about you anyway," Andrew said. "I won't notice."

He kissed Neil like he wanted to bruise his lips and leaned back to fix Neil with an intense stare. "Just here."
"Okay," Neil said, and dug his fingers into Andrew's hair as soon as Andrew's grip went slack. It wasn't much but it was a desperate relief having something to hold onto. Maybe that low rush in his gut was from being trusted enough to reach out at all. Neil would figure it out later. All that mattered now was how easy it was to pull Andrew in for another kiss.

"You were supposed to be a side effect of the drugs." "I'm not a hallucination," Neil said, nonplussed. "You are a pipe dream," Andrew said. "Go inside and leave me alone."

Neil wasn't fooled. Andrew had made it very clear the first time he kissed Neil how important an actual ''yes'' was. This casual surrender wasn't genuine consent.
