Vahanlar, Pamirler ve Paryalar.
The Wakhi of Ishkashim rajon live along the upper reaches of the Pandj River, and are also found in the Afghani Badakhshan, Pakistan and Xinjiang (KM 2005: 4). There are under 10,000 Wakhi in the Ishkashimi rajon of Gorno-Badakhshan in Tajikistan, though the exact number of speakers in unknown (Paxalina 1969: 80-84) Parya (Indo-Aryan) in Hissar Valley, which had perhaps 1,000-2,000 speakers in 1982 (Payne 1997: 145) is another endangered minority language of Tajikistan, and it is estimated that the present population of Parya-speakers in Tajikistan remains in a similar range.
