Abandonment
In the shadows, where echoes fade,
Lies a heart, by love betrayed.
Abandoned in the depths of night,
A soul that once burned pure and bright.
Silent footsteps, fading away,
Leaving behind a heart in disarray.
Promises broken, dreams unspoken,
In the darkness, love lies forsaken.
The stars above no longer gleam,
As if they too have lost their dream.
Abandonment's bitter, chilling cold,
Leaves a story of a love grown old.
But in the ruins, a glimmer remains,
A flicker of hope, a spark that sustains.
For in the darkness, we learn to see,
The strength within, the will to be free.
